Born in the South of England, Chris was raised on a healthy diet of his mum and uncle’s audio cassettes and records, showing his first interest in music aged just 4 years old, sat in front of the TV watching the Freddie Mercury tribute concert on BBC1.

Already obsessed with Cozy Powell and Roger Taylor, it was receiving his first drum kit aged 9, when he began playing along to the likes of Queen, Led Zeppelin, and Iron Maiden before finding influences in more experimental and technical music. Fused together with the in-demand groove of modern-day rock & pop music, Chris started to develop his own unique style and sound.

His first paid recording session was aged just 12 which led on to a short spell of theatre shows as part of the pit band for a production of Bugsy Malone. By age 16 Chris was playing his local pub circuit. Touring started at age 18 with his first professional band Shy of the Depth before joining UK metal outfit Malefice, signed to Metal Blade records.

They performed on extensive UK and European tours with Devildriver, Arch Enemy, Anthrax, Testament and at festival appearances alongside Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, System of a Down and Linkin Park.

In 2014, Chris stepped away from Malefice to work as a session drummer, following in the footsteps of his hero Cozy Powell. Chris has since appeared on Scuzz TV, Kerrang! Sky One, Radio 1, BBC 4 and you can even hear his drums while watching UEFA Champions league football!

Some of Chris' personal highlights so far have been playing Download Festival at Donington Park, cruising the Mediterranean on the Runaway to Paradise with Jon Bon Jovi cruise, recording a session at the legendary Abbey Road studios and playing a tribute solo to Cozy Powell at his memorial plaque unveiling in 2016 to Cozy’s closest friends and colleagues.

Alongside performing in The Story Of Guitar Heroes, you can also find Chris playing drums for rock legend bassist Marco Mendoza from Whitesnake / Thin Lizzy / Journey.
