At just four years old, Harvey got his very first taste of drumming playing along to the U2’s iconic ‘Rattle and Hum’ documentary on TV at home, using two pillows and his dad’s old drumsticks. Not long after that year he received his first drum kit for Christmas!

Growing up Harvey progressed himself by watching live performances and lessons on YouTube, paying close attention to different techniques and learning to imitate the styles of his drum heroes Chad Smith, Travis Barker and John Bonham.

Looking to further develop his technique, Harvey studied BTEC Music at Exmouth College, where he expanded his repertoire by learning bass and lead guitar as well.

​

Hitting the touring circuit as a session player in his early twenties, Harvey performed with multiple bands across the South West of England, at clubs, events and festivals. Later, joining other bands Harvey went on to perform at venues across the UK and Europe, including in Paris for a special Marshall Records event. 

​

Prior to joining The Story of Guitar Heroes, Harvey and his band Poppyshow recorded a single with renowned industry producer Al Groves (notably known for engineering rock band Bring Me The Horizon’s fifth studio album

‘That’s the Spirit’). 

Harvey is now raring to get back on the UK touring circuit and we are thrilled to welcome him to the show for our 10th Anniversary tour!
